Maybe you feel funny but most of Japanese people celebrate Christmas only on Eve. And Japanese Christmas dinner is not roasted turkey, but roasted chicken legs.(Of course not sushi!)
So in Christmas season, restaurants, convenient stores, shops or super markets do focus on Chicken. Even McDonald’s and KFC push nuggets or fried chickens and people do enjoy them.
By the way, on Christmas Eve and my husband decided to make Japanese Christmas dinner.
Chicken was perfectly cooked and so delicious.
What I did was
- Put salt, black peppers and olive oil on the surface of the chicken legs.
- Cooked chicken legs with thyme in 220°C preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Cover the chicken legs with aluminum foil for 5 minutes. During this time you can make gravy.
Some family make stew, or others make spaghetti too. But roasted chicken legs are essential! How about having roasted chicken legs for this Sunday roast?xx
