So today I will introduce an easy way of making Chicken Teriyaki for bento. The recipe of teriyaki sauce is completely same as usual and you can have a look here(Teriyaki Chicken) as well. The differece between normal recipe and bento version is the size and time. By following my tips, you can easily copy my bento. So, let’s have a look!


[Ingredients] for 1 person

  • a half chicken thigh -a bone removed, cut into 5-6 pieces
  • a teaspoon of soyasauce
  • a teaspoon of mirin
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sake/white wine
  • a pinch of sugar


[Introduction] prep 5 min + cook 10 min

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a small tub or a plastic bag the night before.
  2. the next morning, pan fry marinated chicken for 8 minutes.img_5055



  1.  Cut chicken into small pieces so that they will be cooked quickly.
  2.  Use a small tub or a plastic bag to marinate a whole surface of chicken.

    Marinating the meat the night before is a good tip! I’ve wanted to pack teriyaki chicken sometimes, so I’ll have to try it~
